There will be nothing to contest this being the best show I have ever and will ever attend. It’s the culmination of. I never would have thought that I would have ever seen Jan Terri play live, nor have the opprotunity to document her, and it blows my mind that the place she performed is a DIY space in Seattle, where I live, after not performing for 11 years. Ther are so many ways I could talk about how special this night was. The energy, the joy, how ecstatic everyone was and how it was absolutely crazy that Heatwarmer was her backing band. To give you some context: Heatwarmer are all classically trained musicians who live music and are amazing humans overall. No other band would have been fit.

Everyone had a good time. I believe there was a car of people that drove up from Arkansas as well as a handful of other cats who came to this show from different areas of the west coast.

There was some concern about this show. Jamey Braden Von Mooter (who introduced Jan’s set) was worried that there would be jerks at this show who would be hecklers AKA the worst people in the world. I assured Jamey, and anyone else who had expressed this concern leading up to this night, that it wouldn’t be an issue because as upright citizens and kind people everyone is in the music/DIY community, there would be no tolerance for unkind behavior. Those folks would be quickly expelled if it came to be but fortunately that was not something that happened that night.

It was the most animated I have ever seen an audience. Pure love.
