Polka Dot Dot Dot is comprised of Colleen of Twig Palace, Onyx of Olympia, and Jordan O’ Jordan. Each member knows each other from living and meeting in Olympia, Washington who then decided to combine their superpowers to from Polka Dot Dot

The band had taken long breaks in the last year as Colleen has moved from Olympia to New Orleans, Louisiana, and the trio gets back together to hang out and go on tours. Greatest reason to go on tour: hang out and play music with your best friends for several weeks and have slumber parties every night in other people’s houses. What fun!

For the most part, Polka Dot Dot Dot shows are a capella accompanied by stomping, clapping, and finger-snapping rhythms. Seems physically demanding in some respects when watching them. The Justin Timberlake song FutureSex/LoveSound that played before the band seemed incredibly appropriate for the bands R&B style stomp and clap rhythms.

Some of these songs get emotional at times on account of the subject matter sung. Being in love, out of love, upset about love, science… There’s a seemingly unintentional emphasis of emotions projected from all of the musical body movement of Onyx, Jordan, and Colleen. At points my eyes would tear up.
