ALive Recording

One difficulty with presenting live recordings of performances will always be the visual and environmental elements that are involved with actually being at a show. Fancie (band / artist alias of Elisabeth Wood) had put together a 25 minute movie that she sang to while it was projected onto a sheet hanging from the ceiling. I can only think of it as a really rad rock opera even though I’m yet to figure out what it’s about.

It’s hard to describe everything that was being shown and it would be better to find the video somewhere online, if possible. The screen was the only source of light in the room while Elisabeth leaned into a microphone singing in sync to the film; juxtaposed as what one could see as similar to a Kuroko in theater. Except in this case it’s a Kuroko dressed as a sorceress in a baseball cap.
