Every year Hollow Earth Radio throws a great big month long festival called Magma Festival. All the proceeds from this festival help support the station for the next year by covering operation costs. Shows for the festival occur every weekend in the month of March with this year having a total of 10 shows and about 50 different bands.
Last year, on the second weekend of December, Hollow Earth Radio hosted an event that was referred to as the Holiday Record Swap. I was elsewhere in the country but wished very much that I could attend the event. This year, however, I have the opportunity to attend the event and experience a hopefully more intense experience than what I was told of it last year. This year the event is called Swap It, Spin It, Bring It, Screen It.
